Hi, I’m Rachel, and I'm here to help you create a more harmonious, enjoyable, and nourishing journey with your companion animals.
Let me share a bit about my journey so far...
I’ve been working with animals, particularly dogs since 2001 at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London, surrounded by dogs and cats, where I discovered my passion for helping animals.
After five years at Battersea, I moved to the Cotswolds and launched a dog daycare and home-boarding business that took off!
I encountered numerous dog behaviours that sparked my desire to learn and understand them better. Little did I know I was also on a quest to get to know myself.
I studied dog behaviour with Sheila Harper and learned about the stress that dogs often experience. Realising my own dogs and cats were unhappy with the visiting dogs was a real wake-up call for me. I knew it was time for a change.
That’s when I began exploring holistic therapies to support my dogs and discovered Caroline Ingraham, the pioneer of Applied Zoopharmacognosy. I immediately knew I’d found my calling.
After completing the course, I dove in headfirst, launched my business, My Animal Matters, and started offering workshops to help others learn how their companion animals can self-medicate with plant medicine.
They say if you want to master a subject, teach it!
Every dog, cat, horse, and person I’ve worked with has inspired me to ask more questions, get more creative, and open my mind to energy, animal communication, and plant communication.
Each animal I’ve cared for, loved and supported has played vital a role in my own self-healing and learning journey.
They’ve helped me understand the symbiotic relationship we share and the importance of listening to what is reflected back to us.
Working together with our companion animals and bringing them into the conversation allows us to grow and flourish together.
Times are changing, and more people are seeking new perspectives on how to relate to their companion animals.
I’m excited to help you create lasting and profound change in your relationship with your companion animals.
Whether you want to dip your toe in or dive in headfirst, I’m here to support you on this journey.
If you're ready to explore this path together or simply have questions, I’d love to hear from you.
